7 Ways Chat GPT Can Plan Your Life (And Leave More Time for Writing)

I was invited to a webinar today with Michael Jabbour, the chief innovation officer for Microsoft U.S. Education, about the future of AI in education. I enjoyed the presentation a lot, and was very much left feeling like we’re at the tip of an iceberg and we just have no idea how it’s about to change what we do.

At some point I’ll write a more thoughtful post about how I see AI impacting writing and editing (or maybe one of you want to write it for me as a guest post?) But for now, I think of ChatGPT more like a really super helpful, slightly batty, assistant who knows a lot of things and can save me a lot of time, but I need to keep a close eye out just in case.

So, now that we’re done with Labor Day and have the rest of the semester stretched out before us, here are seven easy ways ChatGPT can free up your life so you have more time to write: drafting apology emails you don’t want to write, teaching, writing prompts, research, social media, helping plan your weekly schedule (making sure you schedule exercise and stretch breaks!), and meal planning,. For each, I include my prompt and ChatGPT’s response, so you can imagine how useful this might be for your life.
